Andrew Thompson

Director
Andrew is an experienced teacher and education leader who has been engaged with education reform at the national and state levels for over two decades. As a former Executive Director with the Western Australian Department of Education, Andrew has been directly involved in development of the Australian curriculum, and national teacher standards and has led development and implementation of learning software, digital content and services that are recognised internationally asworld’s best practice, having won Gold at the IMS Global Learning Impact Awards.

John Leaf

Consultant
John Leaf was the Deputy Director General for the WA Department of Education for six years, until September 2015. He played a key leadership role in the school autonomy agenda and the reform of school resourcing. A vital component of these two generational reforms was the transformation of ICT with the emphasis on 21st century learning. John recently led the completion of an ICT strategic plan for the WA Department and Schools from 2016 to 2020. He brings a wealth of experience in financial sustainability, infrastructure planning and delivery, contracts and procurement from a long career in the public and private sector in England, New Zealand and Australia.

Liezl van der Walt

Senior Developer
Liezl is the senior developer at Theme Solutions and has over 10 years experience in software and web development. After completing her Bachelor of Computing and Information Systems she went on to complete her Masters of Information Technology Management. Liezl plays a key role in being the bridge between clients and the technical team, by using her experience to communicate the business and client requirements to each team member, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and to each client’s specifications.

Natalie Tarr

Director of Learnability Professional Development
Natalie has over 25 years experience in both primary and secondary contexts as well as in school leadership positions. Natalie is accredited to deliver PD in broad curriculum areas and has facilitated professional learning for schools in metropolitan and regional areas, as well as internationally. Natalie has an extensive team of presenters who work across the state delivering high quality, cost effective professional development to schools, networks and other organisations. Natalie and the Learnability Professional Development team also facilitate coaching programs to enhance leadership performance and productivity. Coaching can be delivered face-to-face, via telephone or online.
